The meeting discussed:
1. RICS submission to the second statutory review of the Code, the definition of ‘RICS guidance’ in the Pubs Code and its application in the regulations.
2. Updating of RICS 2010 guidance Capital and Rental Valuation of Public Houses, Bars, Restaurants and Nightclubs in England and Wales. Publication of the renamed Valuation of Licensed Leisure Professional Standard scheduled for early 2025, and appropriate communications.
3. Future RICS Professional Standards to be the subject of public consultation:
• Surveyors Acting as Party Representatives, 1st edition
• Surveyors Acting as Expert Witnesses, 5th edition (an update to the current Surveyors Acting as Expert Witnesses, 4th edition)
